Management of municipal solid waste has been a major challenge all over India. Various systems that have been set up in a centralised manner by the municipalities, local agencies and private companies to convert waste to energy, waste to compost, etc. These systems have not managed to fully dispose of the waste or convert it to a beneficial use due to various reasons such as:
Wet Waste (organic, bio-degradable)
Step 1: Reducing the volume of waste through crushing or shredding
Step 2: De-watering excess moisture from waste. (De-watering system)
Step 3: Curing the crushed and de-watered waste in closed, well-aerated containers to convert the waste into high quality compost.
