Hard water is a big issue when it comes to drinking and its commercial use. A softening system is designed and used for reducing the hardness forming ions (Ca & Mg). Special resin is required to convert hard water in to soft water. Softening is a reversible ion exchange process wherein the hardness forming ions are exchanged with sodium ions present in the resin group.
Activated Carbon Filtration
Activated carbon filtration is a commonly used technology based on the adsorption of contaminants onto the surface of a filter. This method is effective in removing certain organics such as unwanted taste and odours, micro pollutants, chlorine, fluorine or radon from drinking water or waste water.
